Although during the summer there is no programme of Society indoor events at the Rugby Club the WDPS is an all-year-round Society and members remain active, but outdoors in the field over the summer. A programme of summer outings/events is normally run, from late-May onwards. An 8 shot competition is run for the “Summer Outings Cup” over the summer period . Full day coach trips are also arranged when requested by a sufficient number of members plus guests signing up.
Summer events - 2008
19 to 24 May 2008 - Annual exhibition of members photographs. Mulberry Gallery, Weymouth Library. (open to all & F.O.C.)
6 July (Sunday) - Full day trip to Seaton Tramway using the X53 bus. For more details and timings (pdf )
15 Jul (Tue) Barbeque evening - Island Nurseries (Restricted to Members Only)
9 Sep (Tue) Skittles night (New Inn Littlemoor Road) - prospective new members welcome.
16th Sep (Tue) Regular indoor season commences
